Let your clients k now that you appreciate their business. Set aside a few m i nutes each week to send out follow up notes for each client who you have f i n ished f i l i ng for. Check in to see if ever y thing went a s e x p e c t e d or i f t he y h av e a ny questions or concerns. If there are concerns, take the time to address them right then and there. If there aren't, remind your clients that you are available for any questions they have. Now's also a good time to start pl a n n i ng for ne x t t a x se a son . Make the appointment now so that it's on the calendar before eit her of you get too bu s y. K eep track of ever y thing that w ill need to be addressed and create a solid plan together to tack le the issues he ad on a nd avoid h av i ng t hem resurface nex t ta x year. Check ing in w ith clients is also a good way to make sure that you a re meeting t heir needs. It's pos- sible that a situation may arise that they are not even aware falls w ithin your range of ser v ices ofered. By casually engaging w ith them, you a re able to f u r t her e x pa nd you r ser v ice ofering and they are able t o q u i c k l y r e s o l v e a m a t t e r o r business need. Tese may be small gestures, but they keep the line of communica- tions open bet ween you and your clients. A fer all, you shouldn't just talk when it's time to f le ta xes or there's a pay roll issue.
