ADVER T ORIAL W CCH Supports the Future Ready Firm with Best in Process SoluƟ ons e live in a complex world. RegulaƟ on is conƟ nuously changing; clients' expectaƟ ons are in ⇓ ux; eco- nomic forces are volaƟ le; and globalizaƟ on aī ects everyone. As a result, it's not "business as usual" any more. Tax and accounƟ ng ⇒ rms are facing a new normal that's fast-moving and ever-changing. For ⇒ rms to keep pace, they need to be "Future Ready." This demands that tax and accounƟ ng ⇒ rms maintain a strategic view of business needs; conduct ongoing analysis of challenges and opportuniƟ es; and adopt an agile approach for implemenƟ ng improvements. It also requires processes, business management, people and soluƟ ons that are adapƟ ve to change. A criƟ cally important component in this equaƟ on is a "Best in Process" approach, with opƟ mized technology soluƟ ons and work⇓ ows across the enƟ re ⇒ rm to create the highest producƟ vity across business processes. CCH conƟ nues its commitment to customers with signi⇒ cant investment in Best in Process work⇓ ow soluƟ ons for professionals. Best in Process is something CCH uniquely delivers, and it ensures that every step in a tax, audit, accounƟ ng or ⇒ rm management process is made more eĸ cient and eī ecƟ ve through technology, and that technology facilitates the ⇓ ow of work across mulƟ ple work⇓ ows in a streamlined and seamless way. This year, there will be an acceleraƟ on of what we've already started to see as ⇒ rms conƟ nue to prepare themselves to be "Future Ready." Recently, CCH commissioned The Future Ready Firm Survey, an independent naƟ onwide survey of 400 tax and audit professionals to examine what ⇒ rms are doing to make sure they are preparing for the future. You can access the whitepaper here: CCHGroup.com/FutureReady. It's full of informaƟ on and insights that will bene⇒ t your ⇒ rm. A few of the important trends include: 1. SupporƟ ng mobile work is essenƟ al. The Survey found that within three years, most professionals will rely on smartphones and tablets to perform their work. Most ⇒ rms are not ready for this today, but recognize geƫ ng ready is a priority. In 2012, ⇒ rms will examine their processes to beƩ er understand where mobile technologies ⇒ t in and can streamline their work⇓ ows. A great example: Today, professionals most commonly use their mobile devices for email and calendar. In the future, they'll increasingly use them as an extension of their desktop – or even a replacement – using mobile devices regularly for research, pracƟ ce management, audit and tax compliance – wherever they need to work. 2. Cloud compuƟ ng moves to mainstream. More ⇒ rms will rely on cloud soluƟ ons within the next three years, according to the CCH Survey. This will give them tremendous advantages in simplifying their technology infrastructure and the agility to meet new customer demands. Many ⇒ rms will use 2012 to idenƟ fy how cloud can help improve their work⇓ ow, support mobile workers and beƩ er manage ⇒ rm resources. 3. ExpectaƟ on grows for technology to deliver Best in Process. In the Survey, most ⇒ rms reported: 1) their processes could be improved; 2) they could be doing more to leverage technology. In 2012, ⇒ rms preparing for the future will examine their processes, streamline them and start to evaluate technologies by asking fundamental quesƟ ons: How will this technology further automate my work⇓ ows, enhance my processes and improve my results? Future Ready ⇒ rms expect more from their technology – and their technology partners. Today, CCH delivers on Best in Process to ensure ⇒ rms are ready for 2012 and beyond.
