How mobile are you regarding your work? How have mobile devices and apps impacted your productivity and work-life balance? I have the ability to work from anywhere as long as I have my laptop or iPad with me and of course a good internet connection. BUT I generally work in the office or at a client's office. Have you embraced cloud computing for your practice? Are you moving your clients to the cloud? As I write this, we are moving our server to the cloud. We weighed the total pros and cons of investing in hardware versus world-class efficiency and flexibility with our operations. Many accounting firms are using cutting edge technol- ogy before their clients start to embrace it. I see account- ing firms acting as an overseer of their clients' transitions to cloud computing. This is more relevant with auditing firms – many clients engage audit firms with a background in IT and security. What ONE piece of technology could you absolutely not live without? iPad – I like the constant connection I can have with the iPad. Instant Messaging, Face Time, Email, Document creation, Document review, Book reading etc. no matter where I am in the world. What sports team/championship event do you absolutely refuse to miss? Never miss a Bama football game in the fall. What cell phone do you carry/use? iPhone.
